The objective of this unit: 1. To develop eye-foot coordination. 2. Foster positive social skills. Dear Parents, Our Health & Fitness program at Kitsap Lake Elementary School is based on meeting the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements found under the heading of: Health and Fitness. 1. The students acquire the knowledge and skill necessary to maintain an active life: movement, physical fitness and nutrition.
Students are given sequential instruction to enhance the development of their motor skills, movement concepts, physical fitness, nutritional awareness and social skills.
Our students at Kitsap Lake Elementary School have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities that encourage a lifetime of phsical fitness. Some of the highlights of our two week units are: Basketball, Badminton, Dance, Fitness, Football, Game Unit, Gymnastics, Hockey, Jump Rope, Lacrosse, Nutrition, Pickelball, Soccer, Team-handball, Tee-ball, Tennis and Volleyball.
Your child will have P.E. two times a week for 30 minutes. Remember to have your child bring tennis shoes along with comfortable safe clothes to participate in P.E.
