Scholars will begin to learn about ecosystems and food webs.

Course Overview

If you take a look at your schedule, you will notice that science is four times a week with one single period.  Two of the three double period will be lab days. The 3rd double period and  the single period will be Science Fiction days.

Your  labs will be accompanied by a science reading that explains the why and how of the lab.

The Science Fiction days will be days that Ms. Wong reads aloud the current science fiction book. We will focus on the following reading strategies: predicting, asking questions, summarizing, metacognitive thinking (thinking about your thinking), and examining the and examining the characters. All of these strategies will also be used in ELA.

Course Requirements                

You are required to have:

1. 3 dividers in you binder labeled:

     a. science labs

     b. science readings

     c. Science Think About It's (TAI's)
 

2. composition notebook

3. Bounty paper towel (for lab days)

4. Kleenex or Puffs tissues (for the classroom)
