About Us

The Undergraduate Chemistry Society at Montana State is group of bright, college level Chemists and Biochemists, which strive to provide outreach opportunities in nearby communities to get children excited about science.  Annually, we hold multiple events that give children in their early to high school ages an opportunity to do hands on science demos and teach them some of the basics of science.  In one example, we help to provide kids a fun and interesting afternoon at our event titled Frankenscience.  At this event all the UCS members are in full Halloween costume, and children get to partake in mini-science experiments, watch different demos, and eat liquid-nitrogen ice cream.  All these events are organized and put together by members of this society in order to reach out to the younger generation and encourage them to join one of the most important growing fields in our upper education system. We are a completely self-funded, nonprofit, school organization that enjoys spending time with children and offering enjoyable educational events.
