AdvoCat Responsibilities

  • AdvoCats give campus tours to prospective MSU students and  their families.
  • AdvoCats help with the MSU FRIDAY visit program.
  • AdvoCats take a training course in the fall and spring semesters to learn about campus programs and services for students.
  • AdvoCats get to register early for classes.
  • AdvoCats have lots of fun! 

 

If you are interested in joining the AdvoCats for the 2008-2009 school year, please fill out the application here. Return your completed application no later than Friday September 5th by 5 p.m. to the Office of Admission, SUB 201.

Read below to find out more about the program requirements.

  •  AdvoCats are required to take a 400 level training course in both the fall and spring semesters. This 1 credit course is offered on Wednesday's from 4:10 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Students are recommended to be of sophomore - senior standing during the fall 2008 and spring 2009 semesters.
  • Students must have a 2.5 cummulative grade point average.
  • Students assist with campus tours, MSU FRIDAYS, phone-a-thons and letter correspondence, other recruiting activites and particpate in group community service projects.
  • Students must be enthusiastic and have a sincere desire to assist in the recruiting process of prospective students and their parents.
  • AdvoCats is an outstanding organization that is well respected on the Montana State University campus. Being an AdvoCat takes responsibility, dedication and hardwork. In addition, it is also fun and a great way to meet other MSU students! Thank you for your interest in serving Montana State University. We look forward to seeing your application!
