I am listing items on this page that have to be purchased outside of my school budget. These are items that will directly affect students and their work. I already spend $600 - $1000 of my own money every year on things needed for lab and class. If you could donate any item or items, it would be greatly appreciated.
Blue painter's tape - 1" wide rolls - used for marking lab equipment during labs
Butcher Paper Rolls - atleast 20" wide - students use this for projects, modeling, brain storming
Electric pencil sharpener - the one I have is worn out
Standard wall mount pencil sharpener - the one on the wall is 15 years old and worn out
Test Dividers - 1/4" hardboard - 18" x 34" - need 32 of these - my current test dividers are very graffitied, foul and dirty
Test Divider holders - 2" x 2" lumber cut to 11" lengths - 1/4" dado crosscut at middle
1 box of black Sharpies - used for marking lab equipment
16 White boards - 24" x 36" - used during class discussion for students to present work to class
Barnes & Noble gift cards - used for creating a classroom science library
Skeletons, skulls, bones - clean of course - used for comparative anatomy/physiology during different units
Electric Pencil Sharpener - 1 or 2 could be used - my current one is worn out.
Five gallon buckets- 8 needed - these I call portable sinks - we do not have any water or sinks in my room
Here is a big one - An LCD projector - this is used for powerpoints, notes, videos, student presentations. My current one is at the end of its life span. It has survived for over 10 years. It is getting very dim. |
