Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am very thankful to the Student Council and all of our families at Holy Family Catholic Academy.  Your generosity in giving to the Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Office of Concern of St. Cecilia Church, as well as, Mother Teresa’s Sisters of Charity in the Bronx will help to insure a Happy Thanksgiving to many families in need.

Several of you have asked about the SCRIP program which was introduced a couple of weeks ago.  SCRIP was initiated through my office as an ongoing program, similar to the lunch program, as a means to provide a service to our families and an additional source of funds.  If you choose to participate, there is no cost to you other than the face value of the Gift Card you order and no obligation to our families to participate. This program is not a part of your Home School Association fundraising and does not replace any other obligation you have to participate in future Home School Association fundraisers.  I was introduced to this Gift Card Program by several of our families who were familiar with it through former schools or church participation and requested we introduce it to our community.  It was found to be a great success and asset to the organizations that took part in it.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  As always, thank you for your support in our efforts to strengthen and improve our school.

Our brand new Spirit Wear is on display in the front hallway.  You will see a wonderful array of items from fleece sweatshirts to tote bags to hats, all with the Holy Family Catholic Academy embroidered logo.  Please look for a flyer in this Monday’s White Envelope.  The flyer can also be found in the Main Office File Cabinet on the School’s web page.

During the flu season, I would remind you all to refer to the guidelines on our Nurses web page and reference web sites of the Bergen County Health Department and the CDC for information relating to the flu.

An important note, the Christmas Concert has been moved from December 11th to December 18th.
