 MPS Purpose The purpose of our Society is to provide opportunities and awareness of the two dimensional visual arts. Specifically the visual arts as they pertain to Oil, Watercolor and Acrylic Painting, as well as the art of Pastel, Pen & Ink, Pencil Drawings, and similar mediums. To do this it is not unusual to find our members painting as a group or individually in a studio or plein air venue. Many of our members exhibit in galleries, homes and businesses. Membership Membership is open to all artists 21 years and older, who pass a critique of their current work by a committee of MPS members. MPS is also open to non-artist patrons. Dues are $25 per year and due in January. Meetings MPS members gather for a dinner meeting each fourth Monday evening of the month at 6 PM where plans are made and committees formed for future events.
