ENG 105 - College English 1

The most recent version of the syllabus, course schedule, and handouts will always be
available here for download.

THURSDAY, MAY 6:
(1) The final draft of writing assignment #3 is due at the beginning of class.
(2) The final exam:
     (a) You will have the entire class period to write (6:30 p.m.- 9:15 p.m.). There will not be
          a break.
     (b) You will be responsible for writing the final based on previously covered resources
that will be available on this website. It is possible that you will also need to
reference the two movies - Freaks (1932) and Flowers for Algernon (2000) - that
we watched in class this semester. If you missed either viewing, and/or you just
want to refresh your memory, I suggest you get a copy and view it before next
Thursday. They're both available on NetFlix and probably at Blockbuster as well.
      (c) You will need to cite according to MLA standards! For your research paper, I graded
according to a rubric; I will be using a similar rubric for your final exam. Many of you
lost a lot of points for not citing according to MLA standards correctly. MLA resources
            are available on this website.
