This year everyone at Steward Elementary School will be striving to achieve excellence. This includes all students and staff members as well. Students will be asked to work at the highest level that they can while still achieving. Something that I have done in my classes has been to implement initals on the back of all projects. In case you see these initals, I would like you to know what they mean and why I am using them.
LB: What I like the best
NT: What I could do next time to make this even better
AB: Above and Beyond- what did I do beyond what I was required to do
I am using these initals to get students to work beyond the most simple projects and to require an extra effort out of each and every student. Students have been told that if they do NOT include an AB in their projects the highest grade they will receive will be a B+.
I am expecting excellence out of all of my 6th, 7th, and 8th graders this year. Please help with this at home and expect excellence from your child as well.
