    About the Teacher

    Art Education can develop:
    • Critical Thinking
    • Overall Academic Achievement
    • Tolerance
    • Historical Perspective
    • Communication
    • Self Expression
    • Problem Solving
    • Decision Making
    • Collaboration
    • Flexibility
    • Self Confidence

A product of a creative and crafty home, I found myself galavanting the studios of the University of Illinois. There I studied painting and conceptual sculpture and graduated in 2001. I got my master's degree in Visual Art Education from DePaul University and started teaching in 2004 at a high school level. It is never boring & challenges me nearly everyday!

The bulk of my art is creating projects for my students. I enjoy changing lessons & trying out new ideas, especially when I feel I have perfected a particular lesson to where there are no more surprises!

I still find time to create my own artwork. It's much more modest in size and concept than in college. But like everything, art changes as we do.
