Born and raised in Portland
Jefferson High School; Class of 1990
Brown University; Class of 1994 (Degree in American Civilization focusing on Race Relations)
Lewis and Clark; Masters of Arts in Teaching 1996
 
Started teaching for Portland Public Schools in 1996
I have been teaching at Franklin High School since fall of 1998
Over the years I have taught Global Studies, US History, African-American History, Introduction to Law, Constitutional Law (AP Government), Economics, Beginning and Intermediate Dance.
 
I created the Constitutional Law class in 2005-2006 to compete in the We the People competition.  In 2010 our team went to state as a wild card.  In 2012 we won the district competition!  Someday soon we will win state!

 
I was the choreographer for Bye Bye Birdie in 2001, Guys and Dolls in 2005, The Pajama Game in 2008, Oliver in 2011 and Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2012.  I directed the musicals Little Shop of Horrors in 2007, Grease in 2009 and Oklahoma in 2010.
