I’d like to start off by telling you a little bit about myself. This will be my fourth year of teaching third grade. I taught for two years at Forestville Road Elementary and this will be my second year at Sycamore Creek. I love teaching this grade level and really enjoy the curriculum. Math is my favorite subject!

I'm originally from Saratoga Springs, N.Y., located just 30 minutes North of Albany. I have an older brother Greg, who still lives in Saratoga and both of my parents moved to Naples, Florida when I graduated from college.

            I went to college in Syracuse, NY and graduated in 2006 with teaching certificates in Childhood Education and Special Education.  Two months after I graduated I moved down to Raleigh with two friends to teach in Wake County, so I have lived here for three years now.

I recently decided that I wanted to pursue a master’s degree so now I am attending N.C. State in order to get my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and Supervision. While I do love being a Wolfpack, I am a Tar Heels fan, as well as a Syracuse fan.

As far as hobbies of mine, I am a huge sports fan. I played basketball and softball all my life and picked up field hockey in college. I enjoy watching many sports including football, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and many others. I love to travel and also enjoy spending as much time as I can with family and friends and of course Sadie, my puppy.

Finally, my most exciting news is that I just recently got engaged on June 13^th to my fiancé, Eric. We will be getting married July 10, 2010 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. We are looking forward to it! When your child enters fifth grade for the 2010-2011 school year they will then know me as Mrs. Roberts!

 Once again, I am so excited to be teaching your child on Track 4 here at Sycamore Creek Elementary. I am confident that we are going to have an exciting and successful school year. Go Sycamore Creek Crocodiles!
