The Intervention Classroom The Intervention Classroom is designed to assist students in strengthening their skills in math and reading. Students are selected as possible candidates for Intervention services based on their academic scores on End-of-Grade tests, classroom performance, and/or teacher recommendations. Parent permission is required for full participation in the program. Students attend their Intervention class for one-half hour, four days a week. Fridays are used to provide further assistance to students, within the school, on an as-needed basis. The Intervention classroom provides a small group setting where students receive additional instruction in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study objectives at their grade level. Objectives are taught using a variety of methods and materials to accommodate the diverse learning styles of the students. |
