My favorite thing that worked this year is my new Flash website class. It was a hit and the kids really liked the websites we created. It was not easy to learn about the buttons and not everyone was totally successful but I think they learned a lot and I a eager to build on what I learned this past school year. I have some PowerPoint slides online that I would be willing to share.

Digital Storytelling provided the most success with my students. Sites that were used included:
http://ddguild.org/index.html
http://digitalstorytelling.coe.uh.edu/
Hands on projects that combine building, teamwork, and high school pathways. An example is using food items and other supplies (straws, marshmellows, toothpicks, gummies, etc) to build a structure that represents a high school pathway. Students then present how their design relates to a high school pathway. (time: 45 minutes)
The Design Your Own Dynamic Story is a work in progress. It is incomplete so if you like what you see and you want to help me create instructions like this let me know! Thanks! :-)
If you want to use a free test maker to put your quizzes and final exams online www.testmoz.com is a great website. You must write down the URL or you won't be able to find the test. I keep my test URL's saved in a Power Point Presentation along with the password. The first password that you create is the administrator password, then you can password protect the test as well by creating a different password for the students. The only down fall of this website is that you can't use pictures in your questions, you can only use text. I have my students submit, they get their score and then I walk around and write their score down. You also have the option of logging in as the administrator and getting their scores as well.
Great website for a completely online class that is free to use is www.coursesites.com
This website is by Blackboard and allows you to conduct your class completely online just like college!
