September 24, 2008 Students will continue witih the slides. If the slides are completed students can use the time to work on their redo questions. Redo questions are due 9.29.08. Ms. Belcoure will discuss: conservation of mass, law of definite proportions and law of multiple proportions
September 23, 2008 First day of new unit, Atomic Structure. Students will view slides and take notes at their own pace. Also, students who turned in their questions are given the opportunity to redo the questions they got wrong and earn 100%! Ms. Belcoure discussed the subatomic particles and how subatomic particles are used to define the type of atom.
September 22, 2008 Test over Matter September 19, 2008 Math and turning in Lab, Questions and Graphic Organizer Ms. Belcoure did examples of Specific Heat problems. September 18, 2008 Reading September 17, 2008 Lab September 16, 2008 Students work on notes and writing the lab through 7a. Tomorrow we will do the lab. September 15, 2008 Class discussion: What is so awesome about matter? How are we all connected? What is the big bang? Is the universe in us? Why is the idea of "being jumped by a gang of chemists" funny? Students should complete their "Notes" (3 pages from slide show) by tomorrow. Prepare your lab write-up through 7a.

September 11, 2008 20 minutes of Reading. Begin notes. September 10, 2008 - Test; Questions, Notes and Lab turned are turned in September 9, 2008 - Prepare for test tomorrow. September 8, 2008 Students who have not finished Density Determination will have an opportunity to finish. Students who are done will use the period to prepare for the test. I will do conversion equations on the board. Students may also use this time to access the links attached to the slide show. I will be available for tutoring for one hour after school today. The test is postponed until Wednesday 9-10-08.

September 3, 2008 We went through the steps of Lab Report. Students are to write-up the Density Determination through step 7a. September 2, 2008 I was very please with the e-mail questions I received over our long weekend. To keep everyone moving along on their homework ,we are taking today to answer those questions. Tomorrow we will go over how to write a lab report. Tonight, click on Lab and read Writing a Lab Report.
August 29, 2008 We will hand-out textbooks while the students take notes on the power point. We will discuss time managment skills. Students should spend one hour a day on chemistry over our 3 day weekend. They have questions to answer in the book and notes to take on the power point. The book questions go under Homework in their notebooks. Their notes go under Notes in their notebooks. Next week, there is a major lab to do.
