I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, the oldest of three girls: When I was 18, I moved out to California to attend college at Stanford University. I graduated from Stanford with a B.A. in English, which meant that I read a lot of books and wrote a whole lot of essays, including one 82-page thesis. Here's a picture of me with a friend at graduation: In my free time I enjoy reading (both adult and young-adult books), watching movies, listening to music, running, playing tennis, swimming, and spending time with friends. In the summers I often travel to new places-- to date, I've visited 15 countries and many locations in the U.S. My most recent international trip was to Peru in 2007:Then I spent a year in the Stanford Teacher Education Program, getting my Masters Degree and my teaching credential. I did my student teaching at Graham, but came over to Crittenden to start teaching full-time. I'm now in my 10th year teaching 7th Grade Language Arts at Crittenden, and my first year teaching 8th Grade L.A. Over the years, I've also taught 7th grade Social Studies, Intervention, Exploratory, and Enrichment classes. I love being a part of the Crittenden community!
