"Forensic science in its broadest defintion is the applicaiton of science to the law." This textbook provides an overview of what Forensic Science includes.  Subjects that will be covered in part or in whole will be crime scene processing, glass and soil analysis, har, fiber analysis, toxicology, DNA fingerprinting, fingerprints, tool marks and other impressions, document examination, serology and others.  This class is survey of the areas that Forensic Science covers and not exhaustive.   Here are a few pictures that might be of interest.    The two pictures below are a hair and hair follicles magnified using an Scanning Electron Microscope.  The bottom picture is a thumb print scanned.
