Accelerated Reader is a program that boosts children's comprehension. They may select a book on their reading level. Read the book 2 or 3 times. Then, simply take the multiple choice quiz on the book. If they earn an 80% or higher, they will earn classroom dollars!
The link below gives the reading levels of thousands of books that are avaliable in the Sycamore Creek Media Center. This will help you to pick out books that are the appropriate level for your child. I am sure you will find many of these books on your shelves at home. Students may take the A/R test every Monday and Tuesday mornings. Here is a list of the approximate levels.
