| Hello. I am Doreen Zanella and I am a first grade teacher at Sycamore Creek Elementary. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University, I began my exciting teaching career. I have been teaching a total of 20 years—all spent right here in North Carolina. The majority of my teaching experience has been in first grade, but I have also taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grades. (First grade is my favorite! Six year olds are so cute!) I have a great husband, Steve, and three beautiful children (ages 11-22). In addition to teaching young children, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dog Bo-bo, shopping, reading, and traveling. I believe that fostering positive relationships with my students and having high expectations motivates my students to excel. I am so fortunate to have a job that I feel so passionately about! |
