Week 1 – October 5th ü Choose your topic ü Obtain a logbook ü Turn in a short, written project proposal – October 9th Week 2 – October 19 (Week of October 12 skipped because of MEA and Parent/Teacher Conferences) ü Conduct research for research report Week 3 – October 26th ü Identify your control, constant(s) and variable of your experiment ü Final draft of your procedure approved by Mrs. Wenz ü Begin experiment as soon as procedure is approved ü Write first draft of research paper Week 4 – November 2nd ü Rough Draft of research report due ü Continue to experiment, record data, and take pictures ü First run of experiment completed Week 5 – November 9th ü Repeat experiment ü Continue to experiment, record data, and take pictures Week 6 – November 16th ü Complete Final Draft of research paper ü Second run of experiment completed Week 7 – November 23rd ü Repeat experiment if necessary ü Start to gather display unit materials Week 8 – November 30th ü All experiments completed
Week 9 – December 7th ü Create any charts or graphs that you will included on display ü Write first draft of display report Week 10 – December 14th ü Week off, Merry Christmas Week 11 – January 11th ü Write first draft of abstract ü Complete revisions of first draft of display report Week 12 and 13 – January 18th and 25th ü Complete display board in school ü Complete final draft of abstract Week 14 – February 1st ü In class presentations February 5th School Science Fair |
