Possibilities for after high school:
| Mrs. Sue Ward is the school counsellor at Bridgetown Regional High School, responsible for grades 7 - 12 The following will link you to a brochure which describes the counselling program at BRHS brochure-program.doc One of the most common questions asked by grade 12 students is how to find scholarship information. Many organizations send us information about available scholarship, and I use that information to update the school website. To find scholarship information on the school website (http://www.bridgetown.ednet.ns.ca), select the Guidance link, and then choose university/college scholarships or general scholarships. If you find other scholarships that students may be interested in, please let me know, and I will update my information. Students and parents also ask questions about student loans. The Canada Student Loan system is based on student and family income. It is highly recommended that you apply early; however, the application forms are not usually available until late May or early June. Find out more information about Canada Student Loans at http://www.canlearn.ca. You may be interested in the Online Tools section; the Planners and Calculators allow you to estimate parental contributions and will give you an estimate of the amount you can expect to borrow.
