 This site is designed to provide information, guidance, and instruction to my students and their families during the 2011-12 academic year. My teaching assignment this year includes Grade 9 Social Studies, Grade 8 Social Studies, and Grade 4 Hebrew Language.

Khan Academy at the Calgary Jewish Academy

During the 2010/11 academic year, teachers and students started to use Khan Academy's digital resources to augment classroom instruction and the students' learning experience. The CJA's Digital Classroom Project is designed to make specific instructional materials easily available to all CJA learners and family members. These instructional materials are selected by content area teachers based on learning outcomes identified by Alberta Education for each grade level. Khan Academy's Pedagogy explained by Sal Khan

CJA students tested a new interactive exhibit at the Military Museums during the 2009-10 academic year. This unique exhibit and our students' reflections were captured on national television. This Learning Environment was designed and implemented by Dr. Hanan Yaniv and Yossi Suissa who continue to develop and research tools which fit this evolving pedagogy.
