Dear parents,
Just a note to let you know I have spoken repeatedly to all classes about their effort in science. Some children (not all) are filling in their workbook with bogus answers just to fill it in. Some just leave many answers not done, saying they just can't find them. I have taken all students through the workbook process in class several times and show them that in fact the answers are there. Sometimes it takes effort in re reading and searching a little to make the connection. I am asking you to check their workbook pages and see if your child is one who needs to step it up in this area. We also take the time to make corrections in class and some students feel they don't need to do this either. This simple lack of effort does not help them when it comes to the opportunities for learning.
This weeks test will be the first one where I have not checked up on whether or not they have been doing their vocabulary on a daily basis. If they have not it will certainly show. Chapter 3 test is on Friday of this week and has been posted for over 2 weeks now and last friday 11/6 I highly recommended that they start reviewing. Please encourage them not to wait till the last moment.
Sincerely, Mrs. Tucker
