ESMS RUBRIC for CITIZENSHIP EVALUATION

 

 

 

Citizenship Grade:

Each student’s citizenship grade is evaluated based on the following rubric:  Students need to exhibit at least three of the behaviors in each category to warrant that evaluation. 

 

 

 

S = Satisfactory

·      Student exhibits good behavior; little disciplinary action needed

·      Consistently follows school and classroom rules

·      Participates in class

·      Collaborates with others some of the time.

·      Usually uses class time wisely and turns in homework most of the time

 

N = Needs Improvement

·      Student exhibits inappropriate behavior

·      Inconsistently follows school and classroom rules

·      Occasional disciplinary action needed; teacher disciplinary action needed on

           three or more occasions.

·      Student participation in class is infrequent

·      Has difficulty collaborating with others

·      Occasionally uses class time wisely and turns in homework some of the time

 

U = Unsatisfactory

·         Student exhibits unacceptable behavior;

·         Frequent disciplinary action needed;  referred to the office and/or counselor

·         Student does not participate in class

·         Does not collaborate with others.

·         Does not use class time wisely and does not turn in homework much of the time
