First letter mnemonics defined and example.
One common mnemonic for remembering lists consists of an easily remembered acronym, or phrase with an acronym that is associated with the list items. The idea lends itself well to memorizing hard-to-break passwords as well. For example, to remember the "classic" named colours of the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet), it can be easier for some people to remember the mnemonics "Roy G. Biv" (a made-up name) instead. Or in reverse "VIBGYOR" pronouced "vib-GYOr". Another example is an acrostic such as the Zoology mnemonic, used to remember the scientific classification applied in zoology. Wednesday: Complete your cell cycle flipbook if not done so in class. Continue to study for test on friday. Thursday:Complete the last two words for vocabulary worksheet on 4-4 words. Study for your quiz tomorrow. Friday: ( weekend work if needed) 1st trimester notebooks will be due on Monday- come prepared with them already in order and ready to take out of binder and simply put a paper clip on it. There will be no time in class given to organize them, it should have been done daily or over the weekend if needed. See below for both notebook directions and rubric. In Class work Monday: Review photosynthesis and Respiration - complete worksheet both sections should be complete now.Tuesday: Read 4-3 together, complete back side of vocabualry worksheet together and workbook 4-3.Wednesday: create cell cycle flip book.
