It is CONFERENCE time!  I have been sending lengthy emails as weekly updates and not updating this site regularly.  I wonder how many actually refer to this site- ???   Perhaps, during our conference you can let me know what method of communication works best for you.  I have 3 GROUP conferences scheduled:  Monday, Oct. 17th, 5:30-7
Wednesday, Oct. 19th, 1:30-3
Wednesday, OCt. 19th, 3-4:30
I am excited about trying something new!  Come with an open mind and know that my intent is to give you an idea of a typical day with me.  I also hope to give you more ideas of what you can do at home to help your child.  A lot more information than I can typically give in a 15 min. conference with just you.
I have added more pictures to the site (same that I emailed you) so check them out!

WHOOOO!  What a full week of learning; learning new skills, learning the schedule, learning about the students, learning about the teacher and her expectations, etc.  I have learned so much about my students.  I hope they have learned just as much about me.  I believe we are going to have such a great year!  The class as a whole seems eager to learn, and willing to go above and beyond to get the job done!  I hope you enjoy the pictures I post and it finds you listening to an explanation from your child about the experiences they had!  See "PHOTOS!!" in the left sidebar.

I would love to know what my parents think of our first week.  Please, send me an email or click on the Parent BLOG on the left.  Sometimes when we can all see the opinions it makes us feel better about concerns we're having or celebrations worth being excited about.  I also welcome suggestions to personally make this the best year for your child.  Some parents have already shared, but if you have any ideas that would benefit the class as a whole please share that, also!!

I cannot believe what an awesome group of students I have in my room.  I have witnessed several examples of respectful interactions with one another.  Stay tuned for great reports of what is happening in Room 123.  I will upload a lot of pictures as soon as possible!

Parents and Students,
Please be ready to provide me with some suggestions that I can make sure this year is the best ever.  I would love to know what habits a previous teacher has taken to keep you informed of the most important information.  Also, go ahead and be looking for your favorite family photographs and magazine pictures of favorite things and/or logos.  We will be decorating the cover of a marble composition notebook that the students will keep for seed ideas on future writing pieces.
Below is a list of school supplies that I highly recommend for my class to help stay organized.  Scroll down to download a printer version.
