Homework is given just about every night. It will be a review of topics we have previously discussed in class. Most often homework is due the next day. We will review the homework together in class and the score will be calculated based on the numbers of questions assigned.

 

Tests are given approximately once a month at the end of a chapter or unit. Students will be informed at least one week before a test. Students may take a make up test regardless of the score. Test scores will be averaged. Make up tests must be taken within one week.

 

Quizzes will be given approximately every two weeks. Students will be informed at least two days before a quiz. Students may take a make up quiz regardless of the score. Quiz scores will be averaged. Make up quizzes must be taken within one week.

 

Math basic skills are addressed daily. A basic skills quiz will be given each week. Scores below a 70% are expected to be corrected within one week.

 

Each class is currently working on a Math Picture Dictionary. Students will have at least one week to complete 10 dictionary pages. Students are encouraged to work on these pages at home. Students will take a vocabulary quiz for each group of 10 pages. It is expected that they continue to study all of the vocabulary words as they will also take cummulative vocabulary quizzes.
