The Dawe School feels like home to me. I graduated from Providence College and became certified in both regular and special education. For the first three years of my career, I was the special education teacher for grades 3, 4 and 5. The past seven years, I have spent teaching my true love; fifth grade. In addition to teaching fifth graders, I am also a mother to two children. Avery is my oldest at 4 1/2 and Kellen, who is 2 years old, is my non-stop funny man. I am not quite sure which is harder teaching or being a mom. Let's just say each gives me a reprieve from the other, but both also bring me great joy and fulfillment. I truly believe there is no other job in the world for me. I love teaching and helping children to see their true potential. I believe all children have the potential to be successful learners and I pride myself in helping them to develop a sense of confidence and a work ethic that will hopefully carry with them throughout their schooling and professional lives. I expect a lot of my students, but I am there to support them every step of the way. Here's to a fun and successful year in the fifth grade!
