A little background . . .
I’m a Colorado native and 2009-10 marks my tenth year of teaching English and working with middle school students. My husband, Michael, and I have two daughters, Audrey, 10, and Sidney, 8.
After living in Montana for two years, my husband and I left the fly-fishing for the cacti and moved to Tucson, Arizona. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona and we returned home to Colorado in 2000. While teaching in the Jefferson County School District, I obtained my Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from CU-Denver.
I love to be with my family, read, hike, run, bike, go camping with our two big dogs, play the piano, and cheer on the Broncos and the Buffs. I look forward to working with parents and students this year as we help our 8th graders grow as readers, writers, and independent thinkers!
