A little background . . .
I’m a Colorado native and 2011-12 marks my twelfth year of teaching English and working with middle school students. My husband and I have two daughters, Audrey, 13, and Sidney, 11. After living in Montana for two years, we left the fly-fishing for the cacti and moved to Tucson, Arizona. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona and we returned home to Colorado in 2000. While teaching 7th grade in the Jefferson County School District, I obtained my Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from CU-Denver.
Because I enjoy travelling and learning about other cultures, I traveled to the Philippines in June 2011 as part of a grant sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. I love to be with my family, read, hike, run, bike, go camping with our boxer and our husky, play the piano, and cheer on the Broncos and the Buffs. I look forward to working with parents and students this year as we help our 8th graders grow as readers, writers, and independent thinkers!
The tour bus was as close as we got!
