Meet Mrs. Rhodes...
Welcome to First Grade! My name is Courtney Rhodes and I'm very happy to be your child's teacher this year. I am originally from Syracuse, NY, where I received my B.S. Degree in Elementary Education and my M.S. Degree in Literacy Education from the State University of New York at Cortland. This will be my sixth year teaching in Wake County. I am thrilled to be teaching at Sycamore Creek Elementary!
The first day of school is Monday, July 27th. During the first few weeks of school we will be getting to know each other, the classroom, the school, and daily routines of the day. First grade at Sycamore Creek is going to be an exciting time!
Parent involvement will contribute to your child's success in school. Let's work together to ensure that your child has a positive school experience. I will keep you informed about your child's successes so you can celebrate with us, and I will also let you know if your child is experiencing any difficulties so we can work on a solution together.
