Mrs. Rhodes’ 1st Grade
Discipline Policy
2009-2010
Marble Jar (Class incentive)
-
When the class as a team follows directions the 1st time we add one marble to our class marble jar.
-
If the class receives a compliment from another staff member in the hallways or at specials we add two marbles to our class marble jar.
-
When the marble jar is full, the students vote and select a special reward. Some examples include: extra recess time, special theme day, special snack provided by teacher, etc.
Croc Cash (Individual Incentive)
-
Students earn Croc Cash by making wise behavior choices and demonstrating “CHOMP” in the classroom and other areas of school.
-
Students visit our Classroom Croc Shop and have the opportunity to purchase an item.
Teacher Chart (Conduct/Work Habits)
- Chart is used to document how often individual students need redirection
- Each day, students take home a behavior calendar which reflects their daily behavior. They receive a 3, 2 or 1 for the day, and parents review and initial calendar.
- 3- Exhibited excellent behavior/work habits!
- 2- Inconsistent behavior/work habits
- 1- Poor behavior choices/work habits, needed several redirections
- Students always receive at least two warnings before their conduct grade drops below a 3.
- If a student receives any grade lower than 3, there will be comments in their daily folder and/or a phone call home.
