Welcome to the 2nd Semester of math. We are excited to start our new year with your child. We want to make you aware of a few minor changes to our procedures.
HELP SESSIONS:
· Will be held on a daily basis, however, in order to accommodate all math levels that are being taught this year:
o Advanced Math help sessions will be held on even days.
o On Level Math help sessions will be on odd days.
o This begins January 9.
· Please remember that the purpose of a help session is to assist students struggling with current concepts in their math course. If they simply need extra practice, please encourage them to use the PTA funded IXL on-line math program. https://www.ixl.com/signin/rivertrail
IXL LAB GRADES:
· In addition to nightly homework, each week we will assign a small group of IXL concepts that students must complete by Thursday at midnight. If they reach the expected smart score they will receive 100% of the points for the week’s lab grade. This is 10% of the semester grade.
· We ask that you monitor your child’s completion, performance and attention to these IXL assignments by using the reports tab on your child’s account.

Help sessions are available daily at the following times and locations.
Every student must have a pass. If your child needs math help, please ask them to get a pass to attend these valuable help sessions. Remeber
