The beginning of a new school year may be exciting for one child, while another may be feeling anxious. New situations can be more difficult for some children than for others. Your child will experience some changes from Kindergarten to First Grade. In order to help your child make a smooth transition to First Grade we will be spending some time getting to know each other. Your child will be participating in a fun daily activity called "Special Child of the Day." This is a special opportunity for you child to share some important parts of his/her life with the class. Below is a list of items your child can bring in for his/her special day. After looking over the list have yoiur child bring 3-4 items to school. If possible send the items in the day before. All items will be well cared for and your child will bring them home at the end of the day.
