Dear Parents,

As stated at Back to School Night, beginning in October, the students will have an additional piece of homework.  A poetry by the month paper was sent home on Thursday. Your child will choose one poem to be memorized and recited on Friday, October 10^th and a different poem on Friday, October 24th privately with Cullen’s mom. If your child doesn't know one of the poems on Friday, Oct. 10^th, then he/she will need to recite two poems on Friday, October 24^th. No more than two poems need to be memorized per month. Memorizing poetry builds a child's memory, word vocabulary, figurative language vocabulary, and public speaking skills.
