I have met many of my students and parents during orientation. I look forward to a rewarding school year!
If you cannot find all the school supplies at this time, wait a few weeks. We will make do because I know how hard it is to find all the necessary supplies in our "small" town.
Students will be assigned a week for them to be recognized as a "Super Camper" (Super Star). I will try to have them recognized around the time of their birthday. If this is not possible, I will chose a week in which someone else is not celebrating a birthday.
We will celebrate birthdays once a month. Every student that has a birthday in August will celebrate on the same day. If you would like to bring in some treats, any cake/cupcakes you bring in MUST be store bought. Candy bags will be sent home with each student. Pizza/happymeals will NOT be allowed. This is District policy.
Since we eat so late in the day, students ARE allowed to bring in a HEALTHY snack to eat at 10 am. A piece of fresh fruit/veggies is the best snack. If a student brings in chips, sodas, snacks high in processed sugar, they will NOT be allowed to eat them during snack time. Granola bars are good, however if they have chocolate chips in it, I will not allow your child to eat them during snack time. If we cannot abide by these rules, we may have our snack privilege taken away. Again, these are not my rules, these are District policies.
