Ten things to know about me...Mrs. Kollar-Bachman... (in no particular order)...

1  I am an alumnus of Rancho Buena Vista High School.

2  I graduated from Boston University...while there I started a musical theatre troupe called On Broadway with two of my best friends because there wasn't enough opportunity for musical theatre on campus.  While majoring in math, I helped produce such musicals as Godspell, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and Baby. 

3 I got married to my wonderful husband Dan in July of 2008...he is also a teacher (social studies) and a huge sports fan...especially UCLA sports.

4 My favorite color is purple, favorite TV shows are 24 and Law and Order, favorite foods are french fries and Golden Spoon Cake Batter frozen yogurt and favorite hobby is dancing.

5 I am a HUGE San Diego Padres fan...in good years and in bad.

6 I have taught math, drama, dance and choir at RBVHS...I love my blend of math and the arts.  It keeps my happy and sane.

7 I have two younger sisters who are both educators in their own fields...and a new niece: Carmen Scotland Smith, born on October 14, 2009!! 

8 I don't choose to watch movies that will make my cry, but I tend to cry at many monumental sports moments...I always think about how proud the athlete's parents must be and it's all over.

9 I am the resident choreographer at the Theatre at the Ranch (RBV's award winning drama program) and have directed musicals at many local community theatres...Moonlight, Carlsbad Community Theatre and Encore Youth Theatre. Some of my favorite credits include, Will Rogers Follies, Grease, 42nd Street, Bye Bye Birdie and Anything Goes.
