This page contains links to quizzes designed to review 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science concepts found on the NJ Ask exam in May.
Directions for Taking the NJ Ask Practice Quizzes:
1. Click on the Subpage below for the Assigned Quiz of the week, which will take you to a page with a Key Concept Review and a link to the on-line quiz.
2. Fill in your username (no spaces in-between). Your username is your first name,lastname, and the numbers 279. Example: johndoe279.
3. Fill in your password: colts.
4. Click the button: Start Now
5. Carefully read the first question and select an answer. Click the button "Submit Answer".
6. If you would like to skip a question, you may select the button "Skip for Now". NOTE: You will need to click the button "Keep Working" at the end of the quiz to go back to questions you've skipped!!
7. When you are done with the last question, you should click the button "End Quiz".
A box will come up that will state:
You are about to end the quiz.
You have answered _______ questions out of _________ questions.
To end the quiz click SUBMIT. To continue taking the quiz click KEEP WORKING. To
save your progress so far click SAVE FOR LATER.
8. If you want to answer questions you skipped, select Keep Working. If you want to finish the quiz at a later time, click Save for Later. If you are done, click Submit.
9. Once you've clicked Submit, you will see a score summary. Any questions you answered incorrectly, your response will be colored in red and below the question you will see FEEDBACK explaining the correct response. Correct responses are colored green. Please look over any questions you got wrong and read the feedback. If you are satisfied, click "Done" and if you would like to try the quiz again, select "Try Again".
10. Once you hit Submit, not only will you see the score summary, but your quiz grade will be electronically sent to me, so that I can see how you did and you can receive credit for this assignment!!
11. This assignment counts as a QUIZ grade. 90 - 100 = 5 points, 80-89 = 4 points, 70-79 = 3 points, 60-69= 2 points, 0 - 59 = 1 point, and if it is not completed you will receive a 0. (There will be 4 to 5 of them this marking period; therefore, it will be like taking a 20 to 25 point quiz.
(NOTE: You may take the quiz an UNLIMITED number of times and I will be sent your BEST attempt for a grade. (BE CAREFUL, the answers will be randomized, which means the answer may appear as letter A the first time you take the quiz and it may appear as letter C, the next time you take the quiz! It is important that you take the time to look at which answer is correct and understand why!!)
12. If you have computer issues, than I expect you to either make arrangements to attend extra help on Wednesday or Thursday, go to the local library, or go to a friend's house to complete this assignment on time. No excuses will be accepted!!
