* I would like to thank all of the parents who attended our play performances on October 29. It was a lot of fun and the children did a great job!
In reading we have begun a literature study of Little House on the Prairie, by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I will be pullling their spelling words from their reading. Have them tell you what they have been reading. There will be a couple of assignments to do at home while we are reading this book. More information to come later.
* I would also like to thank those parents who donated white board markers. We have enough for everyone.
Classroom Policies:
* Students are responsible to fill out planners each day. This includes recording how many minutes read (20 min. a day minimum) and a parent signature. I do spot checks so they never know when I will ask to see their planners.
* Homework will be going home on all days except early release days. This will include math and reading. Occassionally a project will be required as homework - when this occurs the daily homework will stop until the project is due.
* Absences: Students are required to fill out their planners after an absence and make up any work they missed. If they are unsure what to make up they need to see me.
