LIBRARY RULES

Library:  A place where people come to locate books and other materials to read, for research, to explore.

A library is a place where you can let your imagination soar!

Second Street Elementary Library is here to supply books for student's enjoyment, to assist with the Accelerated Reader Program, and to supply books for research and curriculum needs.  Our aim is to also teach students about books and materials they use, and teach them locational skills so they will be able to find materials they need with little assistance.

LIBRARY RULES:

  1. Be quiet.  Let others read.  Use indoor voices.
  2. Be safe.  No horseplay.
  3. Be responsible.  You are responsible for any book you check out. Take care of library materials.
  4. Be respectful.  Treat others as you would like to be treated.
  5. Be prepared.  Bring back library books on time (due date).

Laura Ingalls Wilder (1867-1957) - Laura Ingalls Wilder is famous for writing the much-loved "Little House on the Prairie" series, based upon her life growing up on the prairie, with her family, during the time of Westward expansion and settlement of our country, in the late 1800's.
