Homework will be assigned regularly, and generally will be due at the beginning of class on the following school day.  Long-term projects will also be assigned, and students will be given a project guidelines sheet for each of these.  Due dates for these projects, as well as for tests, will be given well ahead of time...no surprises!

 

Late assignments will result in a reduced score, as follows:

 

Turned in same day, after class: -25%

Turned in 1 day late: -50%

Turned in 2 days late: -75%

Later than 2 days: 0 credit

 

Most assignments are eligible for corrections. You may take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes, and earn more points, by turning in your corrections the day after an assignment is returned to you.

Projects will be given a specific due date for project completion, but will also be broken down into smaller parts, with a piece due at a time.  This should help to keep everyone working regularly and ward off the procrastination-monster that we sometimes fall victim to!
