Welcome!

This is my tenth year teaching. I actually started my teaching career at Batchelor with student teaching. After that, I spent a year at Tri-North, then a year at Bloomington South, which brought me back to Batchelor. Originally, I am from a suburb of Ft. Wayne, but came to Indiana University, fell in love with this town and stayed. My husband and I have four pets – three cats and a dog. We are also new parents to a rambunctious little boy – Benjamin Atticus – who was born in 2005.

As for my classroom, I have a fairly decent collection of books that the students are more than welcome to borrow. I ask that you take interest in anything they read and encourage them in any way you can. Reading is such an important part of the development of our students.
If you have any questions about your child's progress during the year, please do not hesitate to contact me. Email is a great way for me to respond quickly. Thank you for allowing me to help your child learn and grow. I look forward to a great year.
