This website will be updated on a weekly basis.  However, please check homework daily as there may sometimes have to be adjustments based on the learning rate of the students.  It is your child's responsibility to copy homework in class and be aware of any changes made.

Current Math Topic - We have completed decimal place value and comparing and ordering decimals. We will continue to practice decimal word form as well.  We are now moving into Adding and Subtracting Decimals to the thousandths place.  Please see my math games links page decimals section and for moms and dads, go to Math Help Links and there's a bunch there for you on decimals.  

 

Current Science Topic - We are beginning Changes to the Shoreline by Waves, Tides and Currents.

 

Current Social Studies Topic - Westward Expansion  (Conflict and Cooperation between the different groups who settled the West) 

We have finished instruction on this.  Your child should be well on his or her way to finishing their Westward Expansion Powerpoint Project.  This will be THE assessment for this chapter and will be counted not only as a classwork grade but as a test grade as well.  Please assist your child in planning the slides, even if you do not have access to Powerpoint at home.  If your child comes to school prepared with his or her plans ready and his or her flash drive, he or she should have ample time to complete the project on time.
