Parents-
Welcome to the 2009/10 School Year! I am excited to be working with you and your child to make 7th grade a productive year. Below, you will find first day expectations powerpoint. Please visit this if you have this application on your computer. If not, I will highlight below what I consider to be the most important.
1. Grades are determined as follows
30% is homework
30% is classwork
20% is quizzes and writing
20% tests and projects
It is critical that homework is completed on a nightly basis. Homework is assigned at least 3 times a week. It is difficult to pass this class if this does not happpen. Assignments will be posted on the agenda in class and on this website. (Scroll down for list of assignments). Students are responsible for copying them into their agenda on a weekly basis. Typically, the agenda for the week will be posted on Mondays. If it changes, I will update immediately on here.
Daily warm-ups are required! Students will receive a warm up sheet every 2 weeks. They should keep this with them and it will be collected on Friday at the end of the second week. They will be worth 20 points per week. If they lose their warm up sheet, they should get another one from me and ask a classmate to catch them up on the questions.
Contact me at school if you need to at 770-8540 during my prep, 7:45-8:40. You may also email me which is the fastest, at jcloud@psusd.us
If your child is sick, please keep them at home. It is in the best interest for our school and community if you do.
