SOCIAL STUDIES   

     Welcome to Mrs. Chase's Social Studies Class!!!!  There will be weekly D.O.G. (Daily Oral Geography) quizzes as well as vocabulary quizzes every other Friday.  Student are starting a unit on WWI.  We will be focusing on how the U.S. got involved in the war, and the impact we had on the outcome.

LANGUAGE ARTS

      In Language Arts students will be continuing the weekly routines and expectations.  There will be weekly vocabulary that students will implement into their journaling.  On a weekly basis students will be working on "Grammar Rocks" folders and "Everyday Edits".  Students will be reading The Outsiders.  Keep reading!!!

A TENTATIVE May calendar for Social Studies is attached below.  Any changes will be made in the weekly assignments in your child's assignment notebook.  Language Arts will have the weekly assignments written in the assignment notebooks.  Thank you.  If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.
