My Married Bio!

A little bit about us...Matt and I met in 2000 and started dating in December of 2001.  On July 6, 2006, he proposed while on the beach in Carpinteria as the full moon reflected off of the water while our families were together on vacation!  6 1/2 years since we started dating, Matt and I will be getting married on August 29th, 2008 in Santa Barbara, California!!  We are so excited that our big day is almost here!

This picture was taken at our engagement party two years ago.

My engagement ring features the diamond from his great-grandmother's engagement ring (circa 1920) re-set into a vintage inspired, pave and milgrain style ring.  I love it!

We both currently live in Bakersfield and will be graduating with double majors in Business Administration and Economics.  He loves baseball (Braves - he's from Atlanta), music, and traveling.  I love web design, photography, music, and traveling.

This last spring.  Taking in a sunset at Padaro Beach on my birthday!

My grandparents own a condo at the Santa Barbara Polo Club so I have considered it my second home.  I have always loved that city.  I remember as a kid, driving past the Fess Parker DoubleTree Plaza and always thinking about how cool it would be to have a party there (I was not one of those girls who dreamed of her wedding day).  Thinking that it was way out of our budget, we planned to have a wedding at a family estate here in Bakersfield.

A year into our engagement my grandfather lost his battle with lung cancer and the family estate was no longer an option.  We hurried over to SB to find a location and after seeing what was included in the packages at the Fess Parker Doubletree, we realized if we stretched our budget a bit and pushed the date back another couple of months, that we could have our wedding there and that is what we decided to do!

I've been collecting pictures, ideas, and thoughts for over 2 years now and have compiled them into this bio.  Enjoy and thanks to all of the Knotties that have served as inspiration and have shared their thoughts and ideas!  Shout out to my fellow LA Knotties! :]
