| For the first day of school, please bring: (1) THIN (no wider than 1 inch or two fingers), flexible expanding file system, with SEVEN (7) files/pockets. Office Max has some good choices for under $12. Please do not buy anything larger! AND NO RING BINDERS!! We are working on staying organized, which means keeping things simple. We will go over what and how the file folder will be used on the first day, so please don't label anything just yet. Feel free to decorate it, though. (2) Spiral notebook (3) Soft pencil case with 5-6 sharpened pencils, 2 erasers and 3-4 pens in different colors. (4) 300+ sheets of college-ruled paper to donate to the class supply. You will need to keep some at home and in your file folder, too. (5) Colored pencils and a small sharpener (6) A positive attitude and an open mind. Sixth grade is going to be your best year yet! ***If you are purchasing a new bag for the year: you do NOT need a big, rolling bag!! Just a small, simple backpack or sling bag will do.
