Notice to students and parents about online usage:
The use of online tools is meant to be a benefit to students and their learning. The use of online resources for courses at PCI by students of PCI means that conduct online, just as in school, must follow the rules and regulations of the classroom, and all the applicable rules of the school as well as the rules and policies of the Portage la Prairie School Division. Misconduct online will be treated equally as misconduct within the school. Students are expected to treat each other fairly and with respect.
Unfortunately, some sites that are valuable (such as YouTube), might contain language or content that is not acceptable in a school setting. Students are expected to ignore or avoid derogatory or disrespectful comments or conversations. We will make every effort to use internet sites that are free from objectional content, however, we cannot check every site or service or the changes to sites or services that might result in unexpected exposure to innappropriate content. Students at the high school level are expected to be able to judge appropriateness and to take approriate action.
