Instructional Plan

Questions to Consider When Planning for Instruction

1.   How will you make transitions between activities?

I will make transitions between activities by introducing the lesson.

If the assigned groups do not finish their activity, the students will have to finish it at home for homework and present on the next day.

2.   How much time will you allot for different parts of the lesson?

-The first part of class will be an explanation about the mini-project for five minutes

-The second part of class, I will divide the class in 8 groups of 3 and one group of 4. One person from each group will get the assigned materials. Both process will take about five minutes.

-The third part of class, I will explain the task at hand along with allowing students to ask questions about the lesson. This will take about five minutes.

-The fourth part of class, I will allow the students to begin the activity. This will take about twenty minutes.

-The fifth part of class, I will ask the students to clean up and return the materials in their respective places. This will take about five minutes.

-The sixth part of class, I will ask each group to present their quote and the image that represents it. This will take about ten minutes.

3.   What procedures will students need to know to complete lesson activities?

The procedures that students will need to know to complete lesson activities by giving them instructions to the lesson.

4.  What questioning strategies will you use?

Who picked the quote in NIGHT?

What is the meaning of the quote?

Where would the quote be used? In what context?

When will this quote be used appropriately?

Why did the group pick this quote?

How will you express the quote in pictures or images?

5.  How will you make sure that all students participate in the lesson?

I will make sure all students participate in the lesson by walking around the classroom and engaging with each group.

I will engage with each group by simply asking them what image are they creating that represents the quote that they chose?

I will ensure that the students are on-task by discussing the progression of their mini-project as I walk around the groups.
