 The Asus Eee PC has no CD-DVD drive with which to load software. I have found that copying the WTLIB files from CD to Hard disk or flash drives prior to running Setup.exe can result in a failed installation. Sure it seemingly runs the setup, but then on first running the library the error says: "Watchtower Library has experienced a problem
and cannot continue".
Solution overview:You will need an external CD-ROM or a second computer with an optical drive. Copy WTLIB CD to an ISO eg: wtlib07.iso Install software to mount the iso eg: gmount-iso. It is available in the ubuntu repos. Run the WTLIB Setup.exe from the mounted iso Start researching the Bible ;-) If you get stuck drop me a note at mr.mepis at gmail.com |
