ALGEBRA II

COURSE DESCRIPTION 
Algebra II is designed for students who have completed Algebra I and/or Geometry.  Algebraic and geometric, concepts such as functions, conic sections, factoring, quadratic formula, graphing, properties of numbers, formulas, solving polynomial functions and probability will be covered more in depth.
 
MATERIALS
  • Students are expected to bring a pencil, paper, textbook and 3-ring binder to class daily, with their homework, class work, and class notes completed.  Questions on the assignments will be dealt with daily.
  • Pencils only.  No pens.
HOMEWORK
Class time is too limited to provide students the time necessary to master this subject.  Individual study is imperative.  There will be homework everyday.  Homework, class work, and notes will be checked at the beginning of each class.  NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED, except in the case of excused absences.
 
GRADES PROCEDURES
Your grade shall be determined by the average of your class participation, classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and your exam scores using the following percentage ranges:
 
A-90-100%
B-80-89%
C-70-79%
D-60-69%
F-below 60%

The scholarship grade you receive in this class will be based on the following:
